Litreature:
- Benner, Nelson, and Epstein's (2002) review of 26 studies (n = 2,796, age range 4;03 – 11;08) found 71% of students with emotional disorders had pragmatic language deficits.
- Mackie and Law (2010) investigated the association between pragmatic language and EBD in Seventeen participants (age: 7;00 – 11;00) with diagnosed EBD. Results indicated that approximately two thirds of the referred group had significant pragmatic language.
- Cullinan and Sabornie (2004) found that students with EBD had more relationship problems, inappropriate behaviours, and social maladjustment relative to their peers.
