Self Study module 3:

The links between literacy, Language and Behaviour

AIM: This module provides information about the important connection between literacy, language and behaviour.  

Strategies to assist students who have language and behaviour issues with their vocabulary and in turn literacy development are outlined.

RATIONALE:

OBJECTIVES: At the end of this module you should be able to:

1. Explain how behavioural difficulties can effect literacy development.
2. Explain how language difficulties can effect literacy development.
3. Identify 2 strategies you can use in the classroom to assist with literacy development in students with language and/or behaviour difficulties.
4. Be able to implement these strategies into your teaching curriculum.
